Parents
Parents are always welcome at St. Therese! There are many opportunities for parents to get involved here at St. Therese.
Volunteer opportunities
Cafeteria
The children truly enjoy seeing their parents, grandparents, and friends in the cafeteria. Certainly, the help is needed to serve meals efficiently, and it takes many hands to serve all of our students during the lunch periods. We count on the generosity of all our families to help our cafeteria work.
We are always in need of volunteers. Volunteering in the cafeteria is a great way for parents to meet other parents and to meet the children, as well. If you have not already done so, please consider volunteering to work just one day a month. You may call the cafeteria at 859.441.5187 to volunteer your time or sign up online HERE.
Please sign-up to volunteer to work in the cafeteria each month. Note: some months have 5 weeks. Your volunteer day may be different than the one you select because of the 5 week month.
Mothers' Club
Mothers' Club hosts various events throughout the year, and they are always in need of volunteers. These events include the Walkathon, Spring Social, Health Fair, and numerous others.
Other Volunteer Opportunities
Do you have a special talent that you would be willing to share with the students of St. Therese? Being a stewardship parish is a point of pride for St. Therese. Members of our parish give of their time and talent in all capacities, from helping tutor students to fixing electrical issues to helping with technology! If there is a way you can give of your time to benefit the parish, please fill out the Volunteer Form below and we'll be in touch!
Parents to Lunch
Come and have lunch with your child! Each Friday student names are selected to invite their parent(s) to lunch on the following Thursday or Friday.
Parents are expected to follow the same guidelines as found in the school lunch program. We ask that parents not bring fast food meals or soft drinks when visiting for lunch. Your child must tell his/her teacher in the morning that his/her parents will be coming for lunch that day. The cost of a parent lunch can be found in Lunch Prices . Please bring exact change.
VIRTUS
Diocese of Covington Policies on Youth
In order to comply with Diocesan policy, all volunteers who will be responsible for or in proximity to children/minors, must read the policy guidelines of the Diocese of Covington at the link below. Two forms (see below) must be completed and returned to Terri Haas at the Rectory Office. Additionally, all volunteers must register for and attend a VIRTUS training session and maintain their continuing VIRTUS education.
